Rosherville Church of England Primary Academy has a published admission number (PAN) of 20 children per year. To gain a place in Reception for the start of a new school year (September) you should apply through the Kent local authority process (see link below). September 2021 applications must be made between 5th November 2020 and 15th January 2021. To apply for a place at any other time (for all year groups) then please contact the school to discuss your needs. Applications are made using the application form which is available from the office or our website.

Kent County Council is responsible for school admissions across the county. Should a school be over-subscribed, places will be allocated according to the KCC published over-subscription criteria. This is:

  • Children in Local Authority Care or Previously in Local Authority Care
  • Current family association
  • Health and Special Access Reasons
  • Nearness of children’s homes to school

Due to the current circumstances we are unable to have an open day this year. Instead, we have created a ‘Virtual Open Day’ video to help you get a feel for our school!

Watch the video below:

*Rosherville’s Reception Class

Pupils are admitted to Rosherville in the September of the academic year in which they turn 5. Starting school is a very exciting and daunting time for you and your child. We as a school work with parents individually in the summer term before the children start to ensure it is a positive experience and that parents and children feel well prepared for their start in September.

Our reception class teacher Ms McCormick and teaching assistant Miss Horrobin will:

  • Hold a welcome meeting for new parents
  • Visit the children in their nursery setting
  • Visit the children in their home setting
  • Hold a stay and play session for the children to become familiar in their surroundings

What the school day for Reception Class looks like in September
